Daylight is the reference every shopper carries with them. A colour that looks right in store and wrong at home becomes a return, and a finish that reads flat under poor light is a sale that never happens. Beyond accuracy, daylight makes a floor feel open and unhurried, which changes how long people stay in it. Deep plan tenancies and underground centres run entirely on artificial light, and the back of a store is usually exactly where trade falls away.
