Daylight supports concentration, mood and visual comfort, and glare is one of the fastest ways to undermine all three in a room full of screens and boards. Light that changes through the day also gives young children a clearer sense of routine, which matters in a childcare room used for both play and sleep. A classroom in the core of a building, or a converted space with no external wall, is asking students to do their best work under the worst possible conditions.
